Rep Data Heads to Quirks Chicago

The Quirks Event in Chicago is just around the corner, and it’s shaping up to be an unmissable opportunity for anyone in the market research field. We recently attended and spoke at Quirks Los Angeles and had a blast, and can’t wait for the event in Chicago. With a jam-packed agenda filled with insightful sessions and opportunities to connect with industry leaders, this event is perfect for gaining fresh perspectives on the latest trends, tools, and challenges in research. The Rep Data team is excited to kick off the conference on Tuesday, April 1, at the ever-popular Women in Research pre-conference reception at the Hyatt Regency O’hare where the conference will take place, followed by The Research Club mixer nearby. Keep your eye out for Joel Nelson, Matthew Snitzer and Ellis Kelly at the parties!

Wednesday, April 2, the Rep team is looking forward to catching sessions on synthetic data, data fraudsters, and building custom panels. "Synthetic vs. Real: The Ultimate Showdown in Market Research" will explore the strengths and limitations of AI-generated synthetic data versus real consumer insights, using a live demonstration to highlight when each is most effective and how to integrate both for smarter, more reliable insights. "Fraudsters, Fakes and the Fight for Quality" will examine the current threats to data quality in market research and provide actionable tactics for defending against fraud using smarter detection tools and collaboration between panel providers, tech innovators, and researchers. This is a topic we discussed recently with Infotools on their podcast. And also on Wednesday, Prudential Financial will explore strategies for building and maintaining a customer community that speeds up insights and deepens customer empathy, offering practical tips for engaging both panel members and stakeholders. The team will wrap up the day in the conference hall at “Cocktails with Quirks” before heading to the Marketing Research Education Foundation (MREF) later that night.

Then Thursday, April 3, some interesting presentations await on AI, more on data quality, and a look at the insights industry ecosystem. US Cellular will present "The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly of AI from the Consumer’s Viewpoint" exploring consumer attitudes toward AI, examining where they see benefits, risks, and how brands can use AI to build trust and acceptance. "Quality in a Nutshell: How Nutpods is Prioritizing Data Quality to Better Meet Consumer Needs" will explore comparing research results from two DIY platforms, highlighting the importance of prioritizing data quality for more accurate insights. Insight Management Academy, James Wycherley, will also be talking Thursday about the evolving insights ecosystem and the three key roles that successful corporate insights teams are adopting to thrive and drive transformation.
