Rep Data Heads to Chicago for the Corporate Researchers Conference 2025

Rep Data is headed to the Insights Association’s Corporate Researchers Conference (CRC) this September 9–11, and Steven Snell, EVP and Head of Research, and Ricky Odello, EVP of Sales, are looking forward to connecting in Chicago.

Here’s what we’re excited about:

This year’s program is filled with can’t-miss opportunities. We’re looking forward to “The CMO’s POV” on Tuesday afternoon when the conference officially kicks off for a glimpse into the priorities of marketing leaders charged with growing their brands. On Wednesday, DoorDash will share how it leveraged a variety of past research data along with large-scale behavioral data to build an always-on advisor for decision-making teams in their session, “Beyond Segments.” On Thursday, synthetic data will be under the spotlight in “Synthetic Data: Innovation or Illusion?”, a session exploring whether this much-discussed approach is a true breakthrough or a potential misstep. It’s a timely conversation—Rep’s Steve Snell recently shared his perspective in Quirk’s magazine with “Is Research Ready for Synthetic Data?

But one of the highlights of this year’s event will be a fast-paced, interactive session led by Steve that takes a fresh approach to one of the biggest challenges facing research today: data fraud.

On Wednesday, September 10, Steven will co-host Spot the Fraud: A Quiz Show That Illuminates Data Quality Threats alongside Laura Wronski of Google. This high-energy game show invites brand and agency research veterans to face off in a contest of skill, speed, and fraud detection savvy. Contestants will examine real survey responses and decide in real time whether each is legitimate or fraudulent. While the buzzers, prizes, and lighthearted competition will keep the audience entertained, the insights will be anything but trivial. Steve and Laura will show just how pervasive “good-looking fraud” has become, with up to a quarter of survey responses slipping through traditional detection methods and distorting key measures like brand health metrics.

In addition to the game show, CRC offers lots of opportunities for learning and networking. This year’s Suntory Global Spirits-sponsored reception is sure to be one of the most popular. CRC is a great time to exchange ideas, learn from peers, and engage with clients and partners to strengthen the collective fight for research quality. We are looking forward to shining a light on the growing challenge of fraud in survey research and to sharing how Rep Data can continue to deliver trusted, high-quality sample solutions industry-wide.

If you’re planning to attend CRC, we’d love for you to join us at the game show, catch up with us during networking events, or reach out to set up a time to connect. We can’t wait to see you in Chicago.
